Yes, not many will agree with this but Modern Warfare II has got a solid weapon tuning system. It’s quite different from older Call of Duty games released before it. Now, there’s more freedom to what one can do and create to get the maximum impact out of the available options, and much more!

The new weapon system in Call of Duty Modern Warfare II seems to be near-perfect

The hardcore fans of the iconic saga won’t probably agree on this but the latest entry actually defines its tagline of entering ‘a new era’ for the franchise going forward. And the weapon tuning system is a clear example of that. It paves the way for unlocking different weapons that can be further customized to get a desired, and strong result in suitable modes.

With that being said, what’s special about the brand new weapon tuning system is that it lets the amateurs, who are new to Call of Duty, get used to it in a fun way. They can have an easy ride initially with all the given options. Later, if they want more output, the tuning system allows for having brilliant customizations with the likes of M4, M16 and other shotguns. Modern Warfare II has got something for everyone.

Taking the example of the M4 assault rifle, it’s a good option to take on the enemies. But it has got a three-round limited auto-burst ability. Hence, it comes across as a weaker gun for intense encounters.

If someone wants to have an alternative to this rifle, they can use the M16 but even that is not the best choice. However, tweaking it further can eventually make a lot of difference. Adding armor-piercing rounds and a much-needed balance overall makes it a gun that can kill with only one or two bullets. That’s the beauty of the weapon tuning system showcased in Infinity Ward‘s Modern Warfare II.
