Call of Duty Modern Warfare II, Activision’s latest premium offering, has got tons of impressive weapon options. Since its record-breaking debut last year, the game has seen many guns impressing users. So much so that some of them have now become go-to options for most of the fans. But now, some of them are getting restricted for serious reasons.
With the awaited introduction of Ranked Play last month, devs made it clear to keep it as competitive as possible by following the rules of CDL. This means that any weapon that starts appearing uncommon or too much overpowered has to be restricted. And it’s been the case quite recently with an assault rifle like ISO Hemlock ending up getting banned. While the players were already in shock after the gun getting removed from Ranked Play, they have now lost another popular assault rifle from this Multiplayer mode.

In case anyone missed keeping track of events, ISO Hemlock was restricted last month just days after the debut of Season 2. It was done to make sure it didn’t give an unfair advantage to those who were using it. That’s because it was found to be extremely overpowered, to say the least. Devs realized it after witnessing its higher usage by many people during the Ranked Play matches. As of now, it’s banned from the competitive mode as well as the CDL.
However, the brand new update of Season 2 Reloaded has brought another shocking news for those who were using Kastov 762 in Call of Duty Modern Warfare II’s Ranked Play. Now this assault rifle has been banned as well. The official Twitter account of CDL shared the update just before the launch of Season 2 Reloaded.

This is quite surprising, though, considering that Kastov 762 isn’t a very highly overpowered gun. With that being said, it has become the fifth assault rifle overall (out of the eleven in the game) to be on the restricted list of weapons.
