The makers at Activision recently introduced the roadmap for Season 3. Not to mention that it’s one of the most awaited updates so far for Call of Duty Modern Warfare II. It’s about to bring numerous surprises for the players since the initial launch of the premium title. Among other exciting offerings is also the BlackCell – a brand new addition to the franchise.
While fans are yet to find out what exactly BlackCell is, it will surely turn out to be interesting, to say the least. Moreover, it has already started to make a buzz online, thanks to its asking price of $30. As a result, many people are calling it another money-minting strategy, without giving any substantial benefit to the players. However, not everyone is having this notion regarding this controversial content.
Is BlackCell going to be valuable for its $30 price tag in Call of Duty Modern Warfare II Season 3?

For those who don’t have an idea about it, it’s simply a different form of the Battle Pass. Per the official description of the devs, it will basically replace the existing Battle Pass Bundle. This means, players who want access to BP tiers early can use it to their advantage. However, it will cost them $29.99, compared to an amount of $19.99.
Recently, a popular YouTuber and Call of Duty grinder LegoUnlocked took to Twitter to express his honest opinions about this content. Making things very clear, he didn’t defend the addition of BlackCell to Modern Warfare II. Surprisingly, though, he also stated that this offering might end up being better than what players have received in the past installments. Especially when it comes to the Battle Pass Bundles and the amount of stuff they offered.

LegoUnlocked tried to explain that BlackCell looks to provide more value for the amount of $30 in Modern Warfare II. And that it’s still less costly than the bundles featured in the past two titles Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard. They used to be around $40 and didn’t exactly prove to be worth their price, according to the YouTuber.

People are acting like this $30 battlepass is a "new low for COD"
The last 2 CODS had bundles that cost $40 each and gave you way less. Not saying this $30 Blackcell battlepass is good or close to being worth it. It's just way better than what they have done in the last few… pic.twitter.com/NYn9F1v99O

Going by this argument, it seems like the new Battle Pass Bundle alternative will likely end up impressing some players if not all of them. It’s yet to be seen whether it will be a success or not for the devs.
