While Activision’s current Call of Duty title Modern Warfare II has made lots of sales records, not everyone is satisfied with its content. Especially when it comes to the map options for Multiplayer modes. Speaking specifically about certain maps, then it looks like one, in particular, has made some players extremely annoyed. And that’s been the case since the launch of the game in 2022. So far, a lot of users online have called it the worst map of MWII.
This map is known as Border Crossing and now, the players want to get rid of it. Not just that, they also wish to see the return of a very old, yet classic, map from the past. So that it can end up replacing the most hated Multiplayer map in Modern Warfare II as of now.

Border Crossing was initially revealed last year with the arrival of Infinity Ward‘s latest installment. Getting rolled out for Multiplayer matches, it is generally dedicated to large-scale modes like Invasion and Ground War. This map is based in Las Almas and is situated on the border between the US and Mexico. For other MP modes like Team Deathmatch and Search and Destroy (with smaller teams of players), there is another version of it. And that specific map is known as Santa Sena Border Crossing.
Although it’s a fresh area to explore and get immersed into, many Call of Duty fans haven’t actually liked it much. In fact, some of them believe that it’s the most unpleasant map to dive into.

After not witnessing its replacement so far, some players on Reddit have expressed their wish to see a classic map in place of Border Crossing. Simply put, they want the current map to be wiped out. While sharing their wish on Reddit, one user (named u/freebee50) posted an image of Vacant – the old map from 2007’s original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. They want Vacant to comeback while eventually replacing Border Crossing so that they can have more fun in Multiplayer matches.
For those not aware, Vacant is a smaller region. It was designed especially for the Multiplayer experience in COD 4. Later, it was also seen in other entries like the Remastered Modern Warfare and 2009’s MW2. Interestingly, it was there in 2019’s Modern Warfare reboot too. The map was part of its Season 1 content.
