Call of Duty Modern Warfare II will witness a much-anticipated update in Season 4 this month. Following multiple rumors and leaks, this update is now officially coming out next week. Along with the maps, new modes, and tons of other content, it will also introduce more as well Operators for the players. Which means, they will have fresh options to select from a variety of amazing characters.

While names like Nikto, who’s returning from 2019’s Modern Warfare, have already made the fans hyped, some of the unknown faces are also going to make their debuts in Season 4. Apart from an Operator named Ana Vega, another individual is arriving with the next update. However, the identity of this character has been kept under wraps. Interestingly, though, their addition might end up paving the way for another massive collaboration of Call of Duty franchise with an iconic TV series from Amazon Prime Video – The Boys!

In case anyone missed keeping track of events, Activision had recently unveiled an official blog for Season 4. It contained a lot of details regarding the new Resurgence map in Vondel, along with the information on upcoming maps and modes.

Moreover, the blog also mentioned the intel on five new Operators for Call of Duty Modern Warfare II’s next season. One of them was revealed as Butch. The latter will be introduced as part of a bundle. It will be released soon after the arrival of Season 4. Now what’s interesting to note is that the biographical and visual intel for Butch has been (REDACTED) for mysterious reasons.

Following the reveal of the blog, Call of Duty later dropped a promotional trailer for Season 4. It was showcased during the Summer Game Fest on Thursday. And that’s where things started to take shape in an interesting manner.

While unveiling the look of Vondel map, the trailer also presented a brief action sequence featuring a logo of The Boys TV series from Amazon Prime Video. One can have a look at this shot by watching the clip above. It’s clearly a reference to the fan-favorite, highly popular superhero show.

Now connecting the dots back to the aforementioned Operator Butch, it can assumed that Activision might be planning a massive crossover with The Boys. To make it even more obvious, the mystery character’s name is enough to spill the beans.

Is the publisher going to reveal Butcher from The Boys as a Call of Duty Operator known as Butch? Well that’s yet to be confirmed with an official announcement.
