Although the Warzone battle royale has its own fanbase, Call of Duty series is still popular due to its mainline Multiplayer experience. That’s the reason why this year’s Modern Warfare II eventually broke a decade old franchise record set by Black Ops II.
Now, this ultimate experience is available for free. In case anyone missed the big news, Call of Duty has introduced a free weekend for those gamers who don’t own Modern Warfare II but want to enjoy its Multiplayer modes, to get a taste of what it feels like. Well, now they have got a chance to fulfill their wish. However, this opportunity comes with a timed restriction.

How to play Call of Duty Modern Warfare II Multiplayer for free?
Starting from December 15 through December 19, Activision has made the Multiplayer experience totally free for all the players. This free access period will give them fan-favorite maps and modes. Plus, the all-new third-person mode can also be explored by the users who will be trying out the free-to-play version this weekend.
Talking about what to expect in the free Call of Duty weekend, then the Modern Warfare II multiplayer experience will be available with three popular maps, namely Shipment, Farm 18, and El Asilo. When it comes to the modes, then players will be able to jump into Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Domination, and Hardpoint.

As one can clearly understand, not all the modes and maps will be available as part of the free Multiplayer weekend. While El Asilo and Farm 18 have been there since the launch of 2022’s Call of Duty, the addition of Shipment to the free-to-play period is definitely surprising. It’s because it was just recently revealed in the game with the Season 1 Reloaded update.
Once again, this opportunity will only last for a limited time. Hence, non-CoD gamers will need to be quick if they have to explore the action franchise from Activision through Multiplayer modes. Modern Warfare II, along with Warzone 2, is now available across the globe on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
