Earlier this month, Call of Duty Modern Warfare II added the Cyber Attack mode to the Multiplayer setup. While it may seem slightly similar to an already established mode in Search and Destroy, there’s a big difference between the two.

Cyber Attack explained in Call of Duty Modern Warfare II

After getting revealed by Activision in mid-December, the fresh mode is now available for the players. It was originally unveiled in 2019’s Modern Warfare installment from Infinity Ward. The biggest distinction between this mode and Search and Destroy is that it enables the players to revive their teammates during a match. On the other hand, this is not the case with S&D at all.

In Call of Duty Modern Warfare II, Cyber Attack has got a setup of two teams pitted against each other. Each side consists of six players, and has to pick up a neutral EMP bomb that spawns at a random location in a given map’s center in each round. The main objective is to take the EMP and plant the bomb at the enemy’s Data Center. After that, they have to defend it until it blows up.

The winning team will be rewarded with a point if the bomb detonates the Data Center of the opposing team or all of its members are killed. Again, players can revive their teammates unlike Search and Destroy so that’s a major advantage they receive in Cyber Attack. As soon as one team claims five points, the match is over. In case there’s no detonation or a team is not killed entirely, the match will end in a draw.
