Season 1 of Call of Duty Modern Warfare II has turned out to be a rollercoaster ride for many players. While some have liked it, others have been in a state of confusion due to the situation of bugs and other issues. But there’s one department where the makers have somehow managed to keep the fans engaged – rolling out new modes for Multiplayer matches.
Yes, not all of them have been great, but there’s one specific mode, which was recently added to Call of Duty Modern Warfare II, that has actually turned to be a breath of fresh air. Bounty was released for the game at the start of the new year. Since its debut, it has somehow succeeded in making a place for itself, compared to common options like Team Deathmatch, Free for All, Search and Destroy, and Kill Confirmed among others.

On January 4th, 2023, developer Infinity Ward shared a tweet informing the players of an updated playlist. Interestingly, it also included a brand new mode for online matches, called Bounty. Per the developing team, it is slightly similar to Team Deathmatch in its format, yet, there’s a clear distinction. Which is also a major reason that makes it probably the best Multiplayer mode in Season 1’s current playlist.
It has replaced another mode called Control, and for the good, since it’s got a uniqueness to it. In Call of Duty Modern Warfare II, Bounty mode features a setup where players have to score high kills for their respective teams. The only difference it has in comparison to something like Team Deathmatch is that it puts a bounty on the leader of each team. In every match, there are two bounties going simultaneously. If one player scores the most kills from a team, they get marked for death and the enemy team gets their visible movement constantly across the map in order to kill.

Yes, there are other Multiplayer modes as well in the latest entry from Activision, but what makes Bounty a worthy addition is the twist it gives to an iconic mode like Team Deathmatch. Plus, there’s always a curiosity going on in one’s mind for who could be the next HVT (High Valued Target) from a given team. So, they can be easily tracked for scoring extra points for one’s own team.
In other words, along with giving the players a chance to get as many kills as possible, they eventually contribute as teammates towards a collective victory in the end. Without a doubt, Bounty can be considered a very addictive mode in the ongoing playlist for Call of Duty Modern Warfare II’s Season 1.
