Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will soon make its anticipated debut on all platforms, including PS5. The console users will be able to dive deeper into the game’s fast-paced Campaign thanks to an early access release. While there seems to be no issues on PS4, it’s the PS5 version of MW3 that’s going to give some users a tough time.

Earning achievement trophies on PlayStation is a routine for players. With every game, they get the chance to unlock Bronze, Silver, Gold, and the most importantly the Platinum trophy. But the case of Modern Warfare 3 appears to be highly mysterious. Turns out it won’t have a Platinum Trophy to earn on the PS5.

Here’s why Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Platinum Trophy is missing on the PS5

The detail regarding the missing platinum trophy was recently spotted and revealed by a website PowerPyx. The latter keeps a track of Trophies and Achievement guides in the latest video games.

According to PowerPyx, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 doesn’t have a Platinum Trophy on PS5. The reason mentioned by the website is that the PS5 trophy list is a DLC for Modern Warfare II. Which means that only the PS4 is having a standalone Platinum Trophy for MW3.

This also raises questions about the game’s status as a sequel. While it is a sequel to MWII, many players were previously considering it to be nothing more than a DLC, even questioning its $70 price tag. Surely this will raise doubts again.

While the missing platinum trophy is sure to upset many players, there’s still plenty of trophies to earn.
