Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is finally released globally. The devs have also recently rolled out crucial patch notes following the big release. This includes tons of details about all the necessary improvements. Additionally, they have also confirmed the return of a fan-favorite feature which was initially removed last year during MWII’s Beta period!

Modern Warfare 3 happens to be a significant improvement over its predecessor Modern Warfare II. Not only does it offer smoother gameplay but also, it has brought back many beloved features. Last year’s game originally included a gameplay-specific HUD option in its open beta phase. However, it was mysteriously pulled off after MWII’s launch. In 2023, that missing feature has now been resurrected by Sledgehammer’s team.

The patch notes contain all the changes introduced by the devs with the final release since the Beta period. It seems like the team has done an impressive job of listening to feedback and implementing tweaks accordingly. For example, players had issues in identifying footsteps of their teammates and enemies. However, that’s been rectified with a clear distinction.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer has also added a stroke to player nameplates. This will improve the visibility while also enabling oneself to recognize opponents clearly without firing at the teammates almost every time.

However, the biggest change seems to be regarding the addition of Kill Counter. For the uninitiated, it was present in the open beta of Modern Warfare II last year. But Infinity Ward removed it before the game’s full release. As confirmed by the patch notes of Modern Warfare 3, Kill Counter is now back again in Multiplayer.

Under the ‘New Features’ section, the devs have clearly mentioned that they have added “a HUD element that displays the player’s current streak after each kill.” That’s basically the kill counter. It enables the players to keep a track of all their kills while notifying them about a streak in case of scoring consecutive kills.

Further, the sprint input while sliding will now cancel the slide animation.

Moreover, the default loadout has been refreshed as well, with a widened range of content.
