Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is almost here and fans are looking forward to its release. Early next month, it will kick off the countdown to a global debut with early access to its fast-paced Campaign. While players are excited about 2023’s premium installment from Activision, many of them are also scared. It’s because recent COD titles have generally ended up eating too much storage out of their systems.

Undoubtedly, Modern Warfare 3 will also consume a lot of space on consoles and PCs. That’s why many fans are currently wondering about how much space the new title will take. Especially when it comes to its Early Access version in the form of Campaign. Will it be too much for players’ devices or not?

Here’s what to expect about the overall size of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare  ahead of its Campaign’s early launch

Last year, Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare II came with a size of around 37 GB as far as the initial launch period is concerned. Speaking of its Campaign early access, it only required about 17 GB of space. The rest was consumed by the Multiplayer and Co-Op files.

Now, taking into consideration Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, it can be expected to release at an estimated size close to 20 GB. That’s how much the Early Access of its Campaign may require in order to install on players’ devices. But it’s just an approximate figure, though, as the actual size may vary upon the official release.

All things considered, 20 GB feels like not asking for too much – at least for the Campaign. Hopefully, the arrival of MW3’s early access will bring good news for all the players when it comes to its storage-based demands.
