Call of Duty Mobile has announced that World Championships is returning this year. Last year, Activision had announced the first edition of the tournament. It involved a hefty procedure for participation and was open to all. Millions of players registered and took part in the competition, which had several layers of qualifiers. However, in the end the pandemic played a spoilsport. Activision expected to host a LAN event for the finals. However that was not possible and ultimately the prize money was distributed among the qualified teams.

Nonetheless, World Championship is back again this year. CoDM formally announced the tournament few days back. The format seems to be similar to the first edition and is still free to play for all players. There will be four stages before the teams for the finals can qualify for the end battle.

Each stage will have its respective rewards that players can collect on the way. The number of tries required to qualify round one and two depends upon the multiplayer rank tier of the player. The lower the tier, the fewer points for winning each match and therefore will take more tries. For example, according to last years rules, legendary rank players can qualify by winning just 4 games.

New Battle Royale Class ‘Glitch’ coming in Call of Duty Mobile

After ‘Spotter’ this season, a new battle royale class is coming to the game next season. In the test server, we noticed a new BR class, Glitch. This class will basically allow players to rewind and go back 5 seconds. Only their position is changed and health and speed restored. Enemy players around them stay unaffected by the use of Glitch.

Furthermore, this will allow players a tactical mask which reduces the effect of tactical nades like flashes and concussion.

We expect players will be able to unlock this class by grinding a Seasonal or Featured event. It is difficult to say whether this class will be popular, especially after the meta presence of Trap Master and Smoke Bomber.

The Clown class will also see a change with Zombies making a exit for hounds. The damage remains the same, but two hounds will attack the players instead of the undead army.
