Call of Duty has maintained its supremacy as the most popular FPS IP in the world for nearly two decades now. However, there are always certain titles that keep emerging at different intervals to give Activision’s action franchise a strong challenge. While not all of them end up succeeding, some of the games do eventually stand out due to their craze and fanbase. BattleBit Remastered is one such title which was recently launched worldwide.
This game, made by a team of three indie developers has turned out to be a smash hit on Steam. According to the latest reports from the digital store front, BattleBit Remastered was just recently sitting on top of the best-selling games’ list.
BattleBit Remastered is swaying many FPS fans online while giving Call of Duty a tough fight!

Going by the official description on Steam, BattleBit Remastered is a “low-poly, massive multiplayer FPS, supporting 254 players per server. Battle on a near-fully destructible map with various vehicles!” Developed and published by SgtOkiDoki, it was released on June 15, 2023. And within a day of its debut, it ended up becoming the best-selling game on Steam. Not to mention that 90 percent of reactions it has received are mostly positive so far.
Although it was later dethroned by Counter Strike: Global Offensive, it’s still stilling on the second position, as of this writing. Which is a huge thing about a small project made by just three individuals. Some of the gaming enthusiasts have even compared it to Call of Duty because of the way it looks like. Technically, one can say it’s more like Battlefield having a crossover with LEGO!

Meanwhile, Call of Duty did enjoy a run in the list of Top 5 best-selling Steam games. It happened after the anticipated debut of Modern Warfare II and Warzone’s Season 4 update. It has got new content, comprising of a Resurgence map called Vondel, more Multipayer maps, and fresh weapon options.
Activision’s latest installments are now available across the globe. On the other hand, BattleBit Remastered is also up on the Steam platform.
