Call of Duty franchise has witnessed endless moments of amazing performances by millions of players across the globe. However, there are few of them who have ended up making a mark with their exceptional skills. One such individual is Cartier aka ‘Zer0’, the fan-favorite professional player who’s been among the top performers for years now.

Sadly, the CDL pro won’t be seen swaying gaming enthusiasts with his outstanding shooting abilities anymore. Just recently, the man announced his retirement while. However, he might return soon in a different role altogether.

In the last year, many iconic CoD professionals have left the competitive space. Firstly, it was the legend Scump and then Octane who decided to leave the competitive scene. And now, Zer0 has also said goodbye to CDL. In an emotional tweet, he revealed that “it has come to that time where I announce that I will be Retiring from Professional Call of Duty.”

“This has been my life for nearly 10 years now competing at the highest level and I’ve loved every bit of it, from being a sweaty ps3 kid to becoming one of the first EU players to win an Event on NA soil and becoming MVP whilst doing that,” read the tweet. Surprisingly, though, he did mention that it’s not the end of his journey in CDL. He’s now interested to wear the coach’s hat going forward.

Although it was hard for him to make a decision, he is now looking forward to being a coach for any team who needs him. In his own words, it’s “time for Coach Cartier to come out to play.” It will be interesting to see which prominent side he ends up picking in case there comes an opportunity in the near future.
