Tom Henderson is a famous industry insider and one of the most reliable scoopers online. He recently dropped a gigantic piece of information, in his article published on Insider Gaming, regarding the “full premium” release this year. Going by his leaked intel, it seems like 2023’s game is going to have a beta access period, similar to Modern Warfare II from last year. When it comes to who’s mainly involved in its making, then the leak also threw light on this situation.
2023’s full premium Call of Duty offering is going to be developed by Sledgehammer Games. It has been reportedly confirmed by Tom’s sources. Moreover, Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier also revealed this detail in November 2022. This means that the studio behind Vanguard, one of the most hated CoD games in the franchise, will be working on this full-fledged, standalone game.

However, Tom also revealed that apart from Sledgehammer, there are other studios as well involved in the project. Which is the usual case with every new Call of Duty. Multiple developing teams under Activision have been working on a single AAA title for years now.
Coming onto its availability, then 2023’s premium game will have two beta weeks before its main launch date. It will also provide an early access period to the players for the single-player Campaign. Additionally, it will be playable on the past generation of consoles as well, like the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is expected to release on November 10, 2023.
