Call of Duty is one of the most selling franchises in the industry and very few games have sold as much as this FPS title. Fans are always looking for some new content or updates by the developers for the game, as it has so much to explore even after so many years.
That was also the thing with its support system. Because of its enormous base, developers are not able to fully provide support to its various installments for a longer period of time. But a recent hint by the CoD live stream casters might change it for Modern Warfare 2.
Call of Duty to provide two years of support for MW2
The world-famous FPS game Call of Duty has some of the most involved and evolved gaming studios behind it. Activision, the primary distributor, and producer for the game, has made the most out of the franchise. Because of this, the game became so famous that the company had to bring out new installments every year.
This led to an issue with the CoD community because most of the time, the game had to face a lot of technical issues after the release. However, Activision did nothing about them because they were busy making another installment for the game.
This might now change as, during a Call of Duty league event, one of the casters gave an insight on how the new CoD MW2 release might see some major support from the developers, Infinity Ward. This news was then taken to Twitter by an insider, where fans shared their views on the fact.
During today's Call of Duty League livestream, one of the casters seemingly confirmed that Modern Warfare 2 will have 2 years of support as previously leaked.

I wonder how that’s going to work. I wonder if it’s going to be 12 seasons or if it’s just going to be 6 seasons and then just a map here and there after the first year.

Notably, the news is rumored for a while now and some light might be shed on it this Sunday, 7 August at 12 PM PT/ 3 PM ET.
Although the news of more than one developer providing support to a Call of Duty game is not new, giving two years of support is even a stretch for CoD itself. This is because two years’ support means new updates on the game each season and most probably new maps and weapons on a regular basis.

Apart from this, many fans think that even the casters are just simply telling what they think might come true and even they don’t have a clue about the actual announcements to be made.
Honestly though, Its very possible the caster just like all of us heard the rumors for the past many months and just has that engrained in their head lol.
