As the new season of Call of Duty League is set to offer a high-octane experience to the viewers, the tournament has received a massive change in 2022. So far, all the competitive games of CDL have been livestreamed on YouTube. But that won’t be the case going forward.

Twitch is now the new, exclusive streaming partner for 2023 Call of Duty League. It means that those who liked watching the league on YouTube won’t be able to do so anymore. However, this major change seems to have made a lot of fans upset, even before the beginning of a new season.
Fans disappointed after Twitch replaces YouTube as an exclusive streaming partner for Call of Duty League 2023
All 12 teams are almost ready to battle it out against each other in the Major 1 Qualifiers before the main LAN event in Raleigh, North Carolina. Ahead of the start of the season, everyone believed that the tournament would stream the live matches on YouTube. Because that’s been the pattern for a long time now.
However, it was recently announced that Call of Duty League 2023 season will exclusively stream on Twitch, alongside the official tournament website. Strangely, the makers didn’t mention YouTube at all. It simply means that viewers who have become habituated of watching CDL on YouTube won’t be able to do that this time. Twitch is the way to go in case they want to enjoy the matches.

Meanwhile, streamer Jake Lucky tried to highlight this big change by posting a tweet, wondering if making Twitch an exclusive partner is a good decision or not for CDL 2023.

It seems like the fans are definitely not in the favor of Twitch at all. After Call of Duty revealed the unexpected news regarding the fresh season, most of the people expressed a disappointing reaction. They are not happy to see Twitch being the streaming platform for the league. Most of them liked watching it on YouTube, due to various reasons.
“Unfortunately I think this is a big L for the CDL, being on YT was so easy especially on mobile when out and about. They should have streamed on both tbh. Sorry CDL, I’m not impressed!” wrote one user.

Just keep streaming on YouTube and also let people co-stream it on Twitch if that’s the main concern here. Stop the platform exclusivity and target the people everywhere! That’s the proper way to grow viewership. YouTube is the better viewing experience, and now that’s gone? L…

So no more on YouTube? Youtube stream qualities are 10x better than twitch quality.

How do you have such an expensive league, with so much people working for you and still make a complete balls of this. The YouTube viewing experience is literally the best imaginable, now I can’t rewind or pause or fast forward or do anything.
