Call of Duty Modern Warfare II has been in the news for multiple reasons since its anticipated debut in 2022. Despite being a blockbuster release in series history, it has faced some unfavorable circumstances. Many players have faced issues while diving into this world. Especially when it comes to the Multiplayer content of the ongoing title. It has become a subject of debate among the users due to how the devs have treated the paid version in comparison to Warzone 2, a free-to-play offering.

In the last few months, the fans have called out the makers for ignoring Modern Warfare II’s Multiplayer. The latter is the version for which players have paid from their pockets. Some have even opted for its high-end Vault Edition, thus spending more money than the regular cost of the game. However, the video game they paid for has little to offer when it comes to the Multiplayer experience. And the upcoming Season 2 update is a possible indication of that. That’s why a majority of players are constantly expressing their frustration towards the makers.

Recently, Activision revealed a brand new launch trailer for MWII and Warzone 2’s Season 2 update. It featured all the glimpses of amazing features players will get once the update goes live. In case anyone missed keeping track of events, the upcoming season will consist of a brand new map for the battle royale mode as well as DMZ. Moreover, there will be lots of new additions to make the overall experience more amazing and immersive.

On the other hand, however, Call of Duty Modern Warfare II’s Multiplayer will receive a small number of changes in terms of fresh maps and modes. There will be no original content released from within the latest title’s map. The main 6V6 modes like Grind, One in the Chamber, and Infected might be welcome additions, but they are still related to the previous installments. Multiplayer will get only 2 core maps (not new ones) in Season 2, despite the devs taking a long time in preparing for the update.

All things considered, Modern Warfare II’s Multiplayer is not getting a treatment that it deserves. Hence, fans are quite disappointed with everything the team at Infinity Ward is doing. Recently, they expressed their angst once again while reacting to the launch trailer of Season 2, just days before its arrival. “MW2 is the most successful COD game at launch and this is how they treat it. Seasonal model has got to change”, wrote one angry fan in the comments section.
