Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War and Warzone is all set to welcome John Rambo. The iconic assassin played by Sylvester Stallone in the movies will now feature in the CoD franchise. However, this is not the first time Call of Duty will feature characters from movies. Last year Halloween saw the introduction of spooky characters from movies like The SAW and Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

However, after teasing everyone for a couple of days, Call of Duty’s Twitter finally confirmed the crossover. The 12 second tease shows Rambo pulling his trademark bow with an arrow on fire. Another person is running in a forest, unaware of Rambo’s presence. The arrow flies off and the tagline ” Become War” takes over.

This particular tagline refers to the famous dialogue from Rambo II, “To survive a war, you gotta become a war.” The tweet also gives a date in the end, May 20. Season 3 Reloaded is due to drop during that time. Therefore, players can expect the next major update to bring Rambo to the game.

Furthermore, there is more good news for CoD players across other platforms. It seems like Rambo is not coming only to Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, but also on mobile. Call of Duty Mobile teased this on its Twitter on May 8.

CoDM players are currently looking forward to Season 4, which will also arrive around the same time. While it may be too much to expect characters like Rambo in the Battle Pass, there is a chance CoDM will release them in the draw. In a lucky draw, players still have a chance to get the cosmetic of their choice early without burning a hole in their pockets.

No sign of John McClane in Call of Duty anymore

Soon after the initial Rambo tease, many hoped for other 1980 movie assassins to join the party. John McClane and the Terminator are the most popular ones on that list. On May 8, CoD teased John McClane through an intelligent tweet.

However, the Yippee-Ki-Yay tag at the end of the picture gave away the character easily.

However, it has been almost three days, but Activision is not talking about the character anymore. We already have a confirmed Rambo tease, but nothing more on John McClane for now. The Die Hard character is a popular demand and after Rambo’s entry players will definitely want more such popular faces to drop into the game.
