Treyarch recently put forth an extensive reveal of Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War Multiplayer and the hype is surging across the fanbase. As millions around the world tuned in concurrently, the event kicked off with the team at Treyarch detailing the essence of the Multiplayer experience and its gameplay.

Fans absolutely cherished the official reveal. Cold War promised to bring the most immersive gameplay experience for fans of the Call of Duty franchise.

The event unveiled five new maps, which draw inspiration from history but are forgotten by the history books. The devs offered us a sneak peek into several new game modes such as Vip Escort, Combined Arms, and Fireteam.

Moreover, they detailed the game’s ‘Signature Combat’, which brings many changes to combat systems and styles. Apart from that, a lot was spoken about how the game will connect the immersive experience with Warzone and support cross-platform, cross-generation gameplay.

However, that isn’t everything the event revealed. At the end of the Multiplayer reveal trailer, fans were teased with a cutscene that revealed the zombies. The brief sequence starts by showcasing a staircase covered with graffiti.

Then, the POV of a player breathing heavily and holding a pistol is displayed. Their hands are shaking as they uncover a horde of zombies. As soon as the player turns around, they are struck by a zombie before the screen turns red, concluding the trailer.

Call of Duty Zombies have taken over the internet

The developing studios have not revealed any further about the imminent Zombies mode. Fans have known for a while about the prospect of a Zombies mode in Black Ops Cold War.

Activision’s FAQ page had earlier confirmed the inclusion of zombies alongside the campaign and multiplayer. There is no official word on how zombies will play a part in the Cold War narrative yet.

However, keen-eyed fans quickly pointed out the graffiti-covered staircase reference made to the Tranzit map from the Black Ops series.

The official Multiplayer reveal has undoubtedly impressed the masses with an exhilarating experience. A glimpse at the much-anticipated Zombies mode was perhaps the cherry on top.

This caused a state of frenzy to erupt on Twitter as fans and gamers used the medium to express their zeal.

Additionally, early access for an Open-Beta begins on October 8 for those who pre-order a digital copy of the game. Treyarch and Activision have announced a November 13 release date for Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War on console and PC.
