Years ago, a bunch of developers left Call of Duty: Modern Warfare maker Infinity Ward and found a new studio. This new studio was named Respawn Entertainment, and these developers went on to do wonders in the world of AAA games.

Respawn Entertainment made games like Titanfall, Apex Legends, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. All of these games went on to be phenomenal successes. And now some developers have parted ways with Respawn Entertainment and have started yet another development studio.

Veteran Call of Duty and Titanfall developers are developing yet another big-budget shooter!

A while ago, a bunch of developers decided to leave Respawn Entertainment behind. These developers have recently founded a new AAA game development studio by the name of Wildlight Entertainment. And if some Twitter rumors are to be believed, these developers are currently working on a big new IP.

This IP is said to be a big-budget shooter. They specifically describe it as an “Epic Shooter”. And it would not be a surprise if it is indeed an Epic Shooter, keeping in mind their history. These developers have a history of working at Infinity Ward and then Respawn Entertainment. Both these studios have previously made some really good big-budget shooters.

Infinity Ward is known for its Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series and Respawn Entertainment is known for games like Titanfall, Apex Legends, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

The big thing here is that this game is currently fully funded and has been in development for a while now. The official website of Wildlight Entertainment states that this remote first studio currently has around 28 team members.

This game would release sometime in the future for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. The curious thing here is the fact that they haven’t even mentioned which PlayStation or Xbox console this game would release on. This detail might even mean that maybe this game would end up skipping the current generation of consoles altogether.

Meanwhile, Infinity Ward is probably working on the next installment of the Call of Duty series. It might even be Modern Warfare 3 for all we know. And Respawn Entertainment is giving the finishing touches to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which would release in April 2023.
