Not much is known about the upcoming Call of Duty game. But recently, the title Call of Duty: 2021 was changed to Call of Duty: Slipstream on Battle.net. Soon after the tweet was made by Tom Henderson, Twitter went crazy with excitement. Activision’s Call of Duty has maintained its position as a best-selling franchise. While Warzone is still far from being a perfect game, Activision has tasked the devs at Sledgehammer to work on the upcoming game.
Call of Duty: Slipstream- what we know so far
The tweet posted by Tom Henderson hints towards the game being set in a World War 2 scenario. Fans of the franchise are fairly happy with this. Some modes from previous games like the Zombie mode might make come to the game. But the devs haven’t revealed any details of this sort yet.

Some general information going around suggests the game will be an upgrade on its predecessors in terms of visual quality. No one knows what the story will be or what features the game will come with. Even though it is a new title, it will certainly bear a close resemblance to the titles that came before it. Call of Duty: WWII released to a great reception. And that suggests that, since the upcoming game might be taking the experience back to WWII, Slipstream might turn out to be a similar success story.

Battlefield vs CoD
A new Battlefield game is also on the horizon, and Battlefield 2042 looks promising and will come with Sandbox elements. How Call of Duty responds to all that Battlefield 2042 has to offer, only time will tell.

Activision’s Call of Duty might have had its ups and downs, but the franchise has undeniably known success. Everyone who’s played the first Modern Warfare game will agree. The franchise has shown that these games can get a lot of things right, and if that turns out to be the case for Call of Duty: Slipstream, then EA might have something to worry about.
