Just like all other industries, the esports space is not far away from controversies and mysteries, as fans develop thousands of them daily. While some of them fall to a conclusion, the others are left unsolved. So, here are some top gaming mysteries that stun the markets with time.

CyberPunk 2077

With Keanu Reeves on their side, CyberPunk 2077 skyrocketed a few months later after its release. While the game struggled at the start, it took over two years to reach the 20 million ‘game copies’ mark. While the game had its popularity among users, it was also a part of an interesting mystery. Apparently, users spotted a code on some of the in-game statues that resembled the color magenta.

With the initial FF:06:B5, it soon became a start of a mystery as fans even built a community to solve it. Plus, some users data mined the game from top to bottom just so they could find what the code really meant but sadly, there was little success. As of now, no one knows what these numbers really mean, so it looks like this mystery still remains unsolved.

Red Dead Redemption 2

Like CyberPunk 2077, Red Dead Redemption 2 was one of the most anticipated games of its time, attracting millions and millions of players to play. However, this masterpiece also has an unsolved mystery that can blow your mind. All RDR2 players have come across an NPC, Nigel, who simply wanders around the map talking about Gavin. While he talks a lot about this mystical person, no fan in the community has ever been able to find him.

While some might believe Nigel is just not in the right mind, others say that Gavin changes character with time. But, none of them have been able to solve this mystery, so who is he?

Half-Life 2

While theories have already spoken enough about G-Man from Half-Life 2, we have another mystery that the game features around Chapter 2: Episode 2. You see, Valve developed Half-Life 2 and Portal around the same era.

And while players got access to a ship in Half-Life 2, the game put a pit stop after featuring the future technology. However, players found bits of it in Portal but never really understood the concept behind it. So, what does it really have to do?

Super Mario Sunshine

Nintendo is one of the goofiest franchises when it comes to its games. It will always end up adding secrets turning into mysteries with time. Super Mario Sunshine was the best example of it during its time as players found a mystery book lying in the room. Apparently, users could only see it while playing a mission on Noki Bay and get the camera to clip to a certain bottom on the map.

While some feel that it might have been added by accident, others believe that it was part of an abandoned mission.

But that does not justify the real reason for it which comes down to the question of why Nintendo added it there.

Bungie

Is there a connection between Marathon and Halo? Well, that’s a mystery you need to solve as the community has already dived deep into it. First, fans have found that the suit symbols in Marathon look quite familiar to Halo. Second, they pointed out that the Marathon AI always mentioned a fourth mystical AI, which was never added to the game.
