Japanese gaming giant Sony went all out with the PlayStation 5, as it almost received a sold-out status quite frequently. Despite sailing through troubled waters from time to time, it always won the console wars against Xbox, leading the competition by miles. This also led to game developers working at their best point, releasing masterpieces. And in turn, it also pushed Sony to keep adding more stuff to the PS5 library, such as controllers, cases, fellow devices, and more.

Now, it looks like we have another addition that might add up to the pile of their upcoming projects. Apparently, a PlayStation 5 insider has revealed a fresh product to launch soon, and no, it is not something that you might expect.

We all know about PlayStation 5’s two projects, Project Nomad and Project Voyager. While the former unveils a new set of wireless earphones, Voyager focuses on a wireless headset. And given that Sony recently released a new headphone in the category, this would be interesting to buy.

But for now, let’s talk about Project Q Lite, which introduces a new era of gaming. As reported by Tom Henderson from Insider Gaming, Sony seems to work on a handheld-touchscreen controller/device that connects to the PS5. It ranks under the remote play category, which Sony has featured in the last few weeks.

To talk more about the product, it sports adaptive streaming up to 1080p and 60 FPS. It is also set to feature a massive 8-inch LCD screen. While many new features can be expected, the usual ingredients of a handheld console like the volume buttons, an audio input jack, speakers and others will be included. Other than being rumored to look a lot like the PS5 controller from its early prototype, the said handheld will also feature adaptive triggers for haptic feedbacks. The presence of a constant connection to the internet has also been emphasized.
