Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War has finally worked out a release date for their premier season. They had originally planned to release it on Dec 10th but because of reasons unknown; the date was pushed. With the festive season closing in, the franchise has finally decided on a date to begin the first season.

It is the biggest free content drop in the history of the franchise
In the latest announcement, the franchise has revealed Dec 16th to be the release date for the first season. The announcement had a lot more in store than just the release date. This season will clearly see the highest amount of free content added to the game in an unprecedented manner.
The first season will start with a Double XP bonus for weapon and free bundles, while also connecting Warzone to Black Ops Cold War. Players will see a whole new map being added to Warzone that will alter their playing experience.
Players will get new multiplayer maps, 6v6 mode, 2v2 gunfights that will have an additional 4 maps, new zombie modes, and a whole new massive map for Warzone. This game will introduce the first-ever cross-title prestige system that will have an upward of 1000 level progression.
Two free promotional bundles will have rare skins
Players will have to login between December 8th and 15th to claim these items, as the two bundles serve as a pre-seasonal offer.
The first ‘Field Research’ bundle will have 1 Epic Operator Skin (Park), 1 SMG Weapon Blueprint, 1 Epic Reticle, 1 Epic Calling Card, and 1 Rare Weapon Bundle Charm.
The second ‘Certified’ bundle will have 1 Epic Operator Skin (Garcia), 1 Rare Assault Rifle Blueprint, 1 Epic Reticle, and 1 Weapon Charm

Warzone is going beyond Verdansk?

In one of the biggest additions of free content yet, Warzone will finally go above and beyond the Call of Duty with ‘Fireteam’.
Which is set to be the latest Battle Royale map of the franchise, it will take the players on an adventure across the luxurious Hollywood Los Angeles. Players will gain access to 30 brand new weapons taken straight from the Black Ops Cold War multiplayer.
