Last month, Sony hosted the State of Play where they unveiled more about titles like the Resident Evil 4 remake, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections. Despite so many games being revealed at this event, PlayStation fans weren’t impressed.

However, fans may not have to be unhappy about the State of Play for long, as Sony is possibly still keeping their ace concealed under the sleeves. Rumors suggest the Japanese behemoths will soon conduct an even larger showcase event. Also, other large showcases like E3 would fall pale in comparison to this one.

A Twitter user named Pyo recently shared intriguing news, which claimed that PlayStation would host a grand showcase event to reveal their plans for the future. The leaker went on to say that this event would be unlike anything Sony has ever done, that the volume of reveals would blow everyone’s minds and outperform any previous showcase event.

Hence, based on the reports, we may predict that this showcase will shed light on many other significant titles that fans are looking forward to, such as Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine. Aside from these games, PlayStation fans may expect Naughty Dogs to make announcements about The Last of Us Season 2 or the game’s rumored multiplayer mode.

Pyo isn’t the only one who has mentioned that Sony will hold a massive PlayStation Showcase soon. Even video game insider Jeff Grubb discussed it on his podcast. He even stated that the next showcase will assist in the transition of the PlayStation 5 to its second generation. But fans should take these rumors with a grain of salt, as the Japanese behemoths have yet to issue an official statement.

What do fans have to say about these grand showcase leaks?

Following the recent State of Play, fans are hoping for a better showcase event from Sony. Yet, the majority of fans are skeptical of Pyo’s leak because he did not include a source in his reports. Nonetheless, some people believe the leaker and are looking forward to the show.
