Once again, this massive PlayStation 5 showcase has brought with it a bunch of rumors related to a game everyone desires. This time the game is none other than FromSoftware’s masterpiece Bloodborne. What’s interesting is the fact that rumors are not just about a remake of this game but also a sequel!

When Bluepoint and Japan Studio worked on that beautiful PlayStation 5 remake of FromSoftware’s classic Soulsborne title, Demon Souls, fans were literally blown away. This game showcased the technical prowess of Sony’s newly launched console. It basically looked like a phenomenon and introduced a number of quality-of-life improvements to that age-old game. The biggest attractions to that remake were the excellent visuals and a 60 FPS mode.

Original Bloodborne was lauded for its visual design, sound design, gameplay, and story, but it always lacked performance. When PS5 launched, longtime fans thought that the developers might fix this problem. But they never released any fix for it, and that lack of a PS5 update started speculation for a remake.

Popular PlayStation podcaster Colin Moriarty started this rumor in 2021, and it has started recirculating once again. And recently, God of War creator David Jaffe confirmed this too. The focus nowadays is more on the remaster than a sequel, given that FromSoftware once said that Sony did not talk to them about a sequel.
