Hideo Kojima’s post-apocalyptic blockbuster from 2019 is arriving soon for the PC platform. We are talking about the Director’s Cut of Death Stranding that was released last year, in 2021. Initially, it was only available for the PlayStation 5 at the time of launch. However, a new hint from the Steam website has seemingly confirmed a PC release for Death Stranding with exclusive content.
Death Stranding is a post-apocalyptic third-person action title, which was a huge AAA launch when it originally arrived in 2019. Hideo Kojima’s game features a star-studded cast involving actors like Sam Porter Bridges, Lea Seydoux, Mads Mikkelsen, Margaret Qualley, Troy Baker, and many more.

Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding Director’s Cut PC release details
Industry insider Nibel, who keeps a track of the gaming industry, recently discovered a Steam page for the Hideo Kojima title. What’s interesting to note here is that the page is dedicated specifically to the Director’s Cut of Death Stranding. It confirms, a PC launch later in 2022.

In case you want to check it yourself, you can surely go to the official Steam page of Death Stranding Director’s Cut from Hideo Kojima. There is also a proper description given for the extended version that reads:
“As Sam Bridges, your mission is to deliver hope to humanity by connecting the last survivors of a decimated America. Can you reunite the shattered world, one step at a time?”

So the most important news is that the PC release is now official but there is no proper date. It will be interesting to see when Hideo Kojima announces the arrival time of Death Stranding Director’s Cut.
Talking about the game itself, then Death Stranding was the first project of Hideo Kojima after his split from Konami in 2015. Under his Kojima Productions, the game designer came up with the title, having a vast scope and unique concept. When it eventually launched, most of the critics praised it for its amazing narrative and overall design.

With a Director’s Cut, the game had good success last year, thus gaining great reception, once again. Speaking of the ratings, then the extended cut for PS5 currently has an impressive score of 85 based on 65 critic reviews, as of this writing. It implies that the PC version will likely be a hit as well if the developing team optimizes it nicely.
