“Block Me So I Don’t Have to See Your Tweets Anymore” – Fans Slam Bayonetta 3 Developer Amidst Voice Actress Controversy

For the past few weeks, Nintendo has taken over the internet as they have multiple games in line. Their biggest release, Bayonetta 3, is set to hit the markets on October 28 alongside Modern Warfare 2.

Bayonetta 3 has become the talk of the town, as fans are all set for some classic witchcraft and wizardry. However, it looks like the developers have cast a dark spell on themselves as they got into an unnecessary controversy days before the release.

It all started when Bayonetta’s prime voice actress posted some videos concerning the game. She was disappointed with her wages for the third edition, as the price felt insulting. She’s one of the primary pieces of the game’s heart, and disappointing her isn’t something that anyone should have on their list. However, it looks like the developers found a way to sideline her, which has backfired massively.

Just five days before the Bayonetta 3 worldwide release, Nintendo seems to have landed itself in troubled waters. With the primary voice actress complaining about a low wage, the internet has already started trolling the developers for caring little about the contributors.

Recently, she raised her issue on Twitter, talking about how the franchise was ready to give just $4000 for the third edition. The game’s already made millions with a massive fanbase for the protagonist.

Plus, fans have also developed a knack for Bayonetta’s voice. So, settling down on such a low wage for something that no one expected. “It is an insult to me and to the amount of time I took to work on my talent and everything that I have given to this game and the fans,” Hellena Taylor said in her latest post. 

Post that, Bayonetta’s developer seemed to have taken it the wrong way as he slammed her minutes after it. “Sad and deplorable about the attitude of untruth. That’s what all I can tell now,” Hideki said, seeming to be furious at her. Apart from that, he also added “By the way, BEWARE OF MY RULES,” which started a war on Twitter.

Apparently, fans couldn’t take it, as they slammed the developer for reacting wrongly. But that just proved to be the start of this social war as then, Twitter restricted his account immediately. While one of them had this to say, “Block me so I don’t have to see your tweets anymore,” the others were no less.

For those uninitiated, Twitter allows people to be entitled to their opinions, safeguarding their freedom of speech. However, they don’t tolerate any statements that might harm any color/cast/creed/sex/opinions, etc. They instantly either ban or restrict such accounts, no matter whether they are verified or not. And Hideki’s account set the recent example of hampering its standards.

Later, a former PlatinumGames producer also tweeted saying, “I’m so incredibly disappointed. The Bayonetta team did not deserve what happened to them today. I don’t believe that is the full story. At all. And I hate that all the internet knows how to do is a retweet. I love Hellena. I love the team. But what happened today is shameful.” But now, it looks like the tweet has been deleted. 

In conclusion, it is still unclear why Hellena would break down in the public with the developer instantly slamming her for voicing her opinion. So, it is time that will unlock the secrets and help us solve this mystery.
