Starfield is proving to be just the thing Bethesda needed right now. The game is the devs’ first new IP in over 20 years and players are loving it so far. While some fans have their own issues with the game, it is being hailed as a GOTY contender. Even before release, Starfield was topping charts and players believed it to be natural. Now, Bethesda has achieved yet another milestone as their latest title tops the UK Boxed Charts.
The game has topped UK charts in terms of physical sales and the devs are probably hoping that this momentum carries on in the coming months as well. It’s also interesting to note that Starfield has sold more copies on Xbox than on PC.

Starfield reached the six million mark only two days after release. This makes it the biggest game by Bethesda ever. Starfield promised a lot of things to do in-game and so far it has delivered on almost all of those. While some fans believe that the outpost-building mechanism could have been made better, its overall reception has been nothing short of incredible. Players have already put in thousands of hours exploring distant planets and building their outposts.
While Starfield’s physical sales are tying with that of Diablo 4 so far, the fact that the former is available in the Xbox Game Pass as well could help it to become the biggest launch for 2023. The game is also registering over 1 million concurrent players on a daily basis. And now, it looks to smash some records in retail as well.
Starfield’s Premium Upgrade also debuted at number 7 on the UK charts. However, the thing that’s turning heads is the fact some of the biggest releases of the year failed to make an impression on players in the region.
