PlayStation fans got to enjoy Horizon Forbidden West, the sequel to 2017’s action RPG Horizon Zero Dawn last year. But the developers Guerrilla Games came up with more exciting content for fans this year with the release of the DLC, Burning Shores.
The events of this new DLC take place after the completion of the main story. The game’s protagonist Aloy explores the mysterious Burning Shores and Quen tribe. To assist her in the new and dangerous journey, this DLC added five new sets of armor. Let’s find out which armor would be the best to explore the Burning Shores.
5. Quen Commander

The Quen Commander armor would only be available at the Stitcher in Fleet’s End, where players would have to pay 2,000 Metal Shards and eight Brimshine pieces to get this armor. It has some decent stats at the base level.
After upgrading it to “Legendary,” the stats get drastic improvements. This armor offers the best resistance against Acid. However, it is not best suited to deal with Fire and Plasma. Because of its Duration skill, it is best for those who like close combat action.

4. Blacktide Quen Commander
Like many other video games, Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores also rewarded players with a Pre-Order gift, the Blacktide Quen Commander. As the armor’s name suggests it is the Quen Commander armor, but has a different appearance compared to the normal one.
Being a Quen Commander armor it has the same base stats and skills as the above-mentioned one. It also means that the “Legendary” version won’t also have any difference from the maxed-out Quen Commander.

3. Nora Lookout
The Nora Lookout armor can give some nostalgia to the fans, as this armor is from the previous game: Horizon Zero Dawn. This iconic armor returned in the sequel with the Burning Shores DLC. But players would have to pay 2,000 Metal Shards and eight Brimshine pieces at the Stitcher in Fleet’s End to have it.

This classic armor doesn’t have the best resistivity against Frost and Plasma. But it is one of the best to take Impacts after reaching the max level. But having more Medicine Capacity, this armor is best suited for those who like to play defensive, like a survivor.

2. Quen Marine
The Quen Marine armor is a marine’s mark and the foundation of the Quen naval forces. It is well-known for its tenacity, agility, and reliability. This armor is also available at the Stitcher in Fleet’s End for the same Metal Shards and Brimshine as the previous ones.
This one is also not that great against Acid and Plasma. But the Impact resistance sticks out even in this armor. Although a little similar, the stats are better distributed in Quen Marine than in Nora Lookout. This armor helps a lot with Concentration, so it is the best choice for those who excel at long-range battles.

1. Quen Deadeye
Quen Deadeye is possibly the only armor that fans won’t be able to buy at the Stitcher in Fleet’s End. This armor is only accessible after completing the quest, “The Splinter Within”. This quest can be easily triggered by simply speaking with Theoa, who is in Fleet’s End.
After upgrading this armor to “Legendary,” the magnificent resistivity against Impact, Fire, and Acid would stand out the most. However, two other stats also highlighted are the poor resistivity against shock and purgewater. Further, this armor has the best skills for those who prefer stealth over going all out.
