PC gamers have made mods a thing. It is not even new. Modders have been changing games for years now. It only got very popular with 2011’s The Elder Scroll 5: Skyrim. Changing dragons into trains, adding new weapons, new armor and many more.
Some modders even went as far as to add whole new story quests to Skyrim. And that mod fever spread from Skyrim to every other PC game out there.
Now fans get to see GTA San Andreas’s CJ in Spider-Man, and Spider-Man in GTA V. And eventually with Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition, Bethesda brought mods to consoles.
