Battlefield 2042 early access is out now and players are quite disappointed with the gameplay. A Reddit user, u/mikelowreyatl, shared a long, long list of issues he has found in just 4 hours of playing the game. The list includes major issues like no real scoreboards, no learning, no private server, poor hardware optimization, and the list goes on and on.
It definitely seems like there is something wrong with the game.
The Reddit user starts by saying he is a fan of the franchise. However, when it comes to Battlefield 2042, the game is not up to the mark. “What a shit show,” he says about the game.

The long list he shared features broken promises and drawbacks of the game.
Major issues in Battlefield 2042
According to the list, some of the major issues in Battlefield 2042 that need immediate attention are:
- The operators are incredibly vocal, which some might find to be an irritating feature.
- Players cannot customize their load-outs according to their preferences before the game starts, which is a great disadvantage.
- When a player is in the tank, there’s no way for the player to tell where the gunner and the tank operator are looking.
- The squad order menu is a complete disaster. It basically covers the entire screen, so it’s quite difficult to select the option. The only way to solve this issue is by making it a little smaller and semi-transparent. So that it doesn’t block the entire screen.

- Poor hardware optimization.
- No enemy footstep to get an early alert in the game.
- No traditional scoring system like Battlefield 1 and V, which used to provide immediate feedback on damage health every time a player inflicts damage to the enemy or vehicle.
- No headshot bonus for long-distance gunfights with snipers.
Of course, this isn’t the kind of Battlefield 2042 players were waiting for so long. In short, it doesn’t feel like Battlefield.
Just a couple of days ago, DICE warned players about some of the bugs and issues they might have to face. The company also assured fans that they are working hard to give players the smoothest experience possible but “no launch is ever without its flaws.”
Hopefully, DICE is actually working on solving all the issues and soon Battlefield 2042 will be the way players want.
