Battlefield 2042 was among the extremely awaited games of 2021. However, when it eventually arrived, fans’ excitement completely vanished due to the endless amount of bugs and glitches in the latest entry from EA and DICE.

But there’s still some space left, though, for further disappointment when it comes to Battlefield 2042. On Steam, the game just hit a new low as players have started demanding refunds for their purchases. And Steam is even allowing them to have their money back, because of the bugs present in the online multiplayer.

Battlefield 2042: From worse to worst?

The reputation of the title is falling every day as the backlash from fans is rising due to a pathetic gameplay experience. Adding on top of it is the newest bug that resets all controls of a player after they bind the key. This, and more such issues have tested the patience of those who bought Battlefield 2042 upon its launch.

Now, the fans want a refund, and they’re making themselves heard, especially on Steam. Players are getting refunds of their purchase of Battlefield 2042. After having a disastrous experience with it, they are requesting for the title’s removal from their collections.

If there was one saving grace of Battlefield 2042, it was the Rush mode. However, the developing team shockingly removed it, too, from the game, thus escalating players’ anger even further.

On Steam, the latest installment in the series even found itself on the bottom of the list for most played games. The concurrent player number has also come down rapidly. It is a tough situation, to say the least, for Battlefield 2042.

If DICE wants to save itself from more criticism, then it needs to come up with a solid remedy as soon as possible. Otherwise, Battlefield 2042 won’t take long to turn into the biggest disappointment of last year..

BF2042 is currently available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and Series S, Xbox One, and PC.
