It is a long-time tradition for each Battlefield installment to be riddled with bugs and glitches. More often than not, these glitches do not consistently hinder the gameplay experience and can be avoided. However, this year’s iteration of the series, Battlefield 2042, is loaded with issues. These bugs include data connection issues, issues regarding Data X, and much more. And the community isn’t very happy with the state of the game.
There, however, seems to be a game-breaking issue that has frustrated the player base quite a lot. This issue is the game not letting players unlock attachments for their weapons.

Battlefield 2042 and its attachment unlock issue
Gunplay has been considered as a staple for the Battlefield series, to say the least. Weapon customizations offer the player a ton of versatility and add to the sandbox elements of the game. If the player intends to attach a long range barrel with a high power scope, sacrificing stability and mobility, it is a decision that is up to them.
Weapon modifications add to the re-playability of a game by offering more options. And that is front where Battlefield 2042 hasn’t been doing well.
There have been numerous reports by players which state that players are not able to unlock attachments for their weapons. Players reported that even after completing the criteria for unlocking attachments, they were unable to do so.
Multiple players suggested that restarting the game worked for them.
However, while this fi worked for a few players, others found no respite from this bug and still faced this issue.
