Disheartening news for all the upcoming shooter Battlefield 2042 fans. The game’s open beta and full game release dates have been pushed to October and November 2021 respectively due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The news is official as both Electronic Arts and DICE have announced this delay on their official Twitter handle. Earlier, the game was all set to launch the open beta test on 22 September 2021, but now it looks like that may no longer be the case. Fans have to wait one more month to finally get their hands on the beta.
Another reliable insider, Tom Henderson, said that 2042 Beta will now begin on 6 October 2021 (pre-orders) for early access ahead of its availability on 8 October 2021 for all the customers. Looks like this time the open beta test will drag on for more than a few days. Players can also pre-order the game if they want to enjoy the title for an extra couple of days.
