Developer Turtle Rock is finally bringing the much-awaited single-player-based campaign mode to Back 4 Blood. It means that fans can now play the game even while they’re offline. Along with this, players will also get new holiday seasonal events with tons of unlockable, in-game rewards.

The developer shared the news of the fresh Back 4 Blood update on its main Twitter account. Fans can enjoy the campaign mode starting from December 16, 2021.

Last month, Turtle Rock Studios shared its roadmap for the first-person zombie shooter title, revealing a lot of future updates. And it seems like the process has already begun with this one.

Back 4 Blood is here with the campaign mode

The winter update consists of the offline mode, which is the highlighted addition. Fans were waiting for it since the official release of Back 4 Blood in October, and it is here now.

As the name suggests, the campaign mode will allow players to enjoy the zombie shooter solo. It implies that they won’t need to be connected to the internet to start a match or go on a killing streak with other users.

Moreover, the new update also brings latest supply lines, which are the Roving Merchants. They are to be added with a time-bound track that will provide brand new rewards. Players can spend their supply points on them.

Plus, the Roving Merchants Supply Lines will also include a new card type called “Burn Cards.” They can be played in each of the safe rooms, in order to receive temporary effects such as instant healing, increased resistances, and currency boosts, among other things.

The seasonal event of Back 4 Blood will celebrate the ongoing holiday. It will add festival decorations to the Fort Hope and the Firing Range; and also bring different, unlockable character skins, weapon skins, and also sprays. Several other extra features will have non-Burn Cards, with the likes of utility belts, belt clip, and toolbelts.

Players will also find a Practice Area in Fort Hope. There will be bots also in the solo campaign mode.

Back 4 Blood is now available for all the major supported platforms like PC, Xbox Series X and Series S, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4.
