Valorant has many elements that help the game stand out from its competition. The agent pool which is filled with characters that bring different gaming mechanics into play, to the team compositions, the FPS game has become a top contender in the eSports scene.

Among these elements, one that always has intrigued the players is weapon skins. These not only give players a special touch while fighting, but it is also one of the biggest revenue-generating means for the game. But the upcoming ‘Black Market’ bundle has caused quite a debate among the Valorant players.

Valorant Black Market bundle: The CS:GO edition

In Valorant, there are quite a few ways one can get hold of a gun skin. One is by getting the free battle pass skin which unlocks at level 50, though these free skins only consist of pistols. Another way is to buy the battle pass. These would give quite many skins to the player, but none of them will have a ‘kill effect’.

That is when store exclusives come into play. Bundles bring a variety of skins that have kill effects, animations, and so on. These are added to guns when they cross a certain price point.

Thus, each bundle has much anticipation before its release. Now, as the latest bundle Altitude is coming to an end, there was much hype for the new skin. Valorant surely introduced a unique one this time, but the stark similarity with CS: GO was what the community noticed.

The new bundle titled ‘Black Market’ includes a Vandal, Classic, Marshal, Bulldog, and Melee. Interestingly, these guns’ appearance changes according to whether you are an attacker or a defender.

Though it is an interesting mechanism, fans could not get over the fact that it was quite similar to CS: GO. The very mechanism that the Black Market bundle has, is found in CSGO as well. Moreover, the Vandal’s texture is quite similar to the AK47 in CSGO.

Valo fans call out the ‘CSGO-Inspired’ bundle

Fans were mocking the bundle and even stated that this was Riot Games’ way to counter the release of CS2. Fans were pinpointing the stark similarity of weapons in both games.

Additionally, some were even mocking Valorant by stating that the game might bring CS:GO maps like Mirage as the next update.

The price range of the bundle is still not out, but likely it would belong between Deluxe or Premium grade.
