The phenomenal Horror game franchise that has made millions of fans clutch their hearts in terror, Five Nights At Freddy’s is finally getting its highly anticipated movie adaptation. After being in the concept phase for a long time, the team has finally started prepping for the shoot as the leads of the movie are now finalized.
The world-renowned production house Warner Bros. reserved the right for the movie, back in 2015. But soon dropped the movie from production. Later, the makers of ‘Get Out’, ‘Paranormal Activity’ and Blumhouse, bought the movie rights and started conceptualizing the franchise for the silver screens.

Five Nights At Freddy’s movie leads are confirmed
Even after buying the rights to the IPs, the movie was far from production. As many turmoils hit the project one after another. BlumHouse has attached ‘Home Alone’ director Chris Columbus to helm the adaptation. However, he left the scene after the team reportedly had issues writing the film’s script.
The creator of the game, Scott Cawthon, also acted as an obstacle for the movie, as he had rejected around 10 scripts, stating, “Either the right movie gets made or no movie gets made.” This significantly slowed the movie’s development. However, the movie has made it through all these setbacks.
It can be expected that the team has successfully managed to write a script that has impressed the creator. As they have finally come forward and announced that the movie has finalized the lead actors for its cast. So far it has been made public that ‘The Scream’ actor Matthew Lillard and ‘The Hunger Games’ actor Josh Hutcherson will play the lead roles in the movie.
