In one scene during the gameplay trailer, viewers see the inside of an armored truck. On a screen, a mix of numbers and letters appears. These are MD#JN00201123. Consequently, fans began speculating on what these numbers could mean, taking to Twitter to share their theories.

One user proposed these numbers alluding to the release date for the game. He broke the numbers down to MD#JN representing mid-June. This is when fans have speculated Insomniac will provide us with a release date for the game. Moreover, Insomniac will open pre-order slots during this time.

The second part of the Easter Egg, 201123, is thought to be the release date specified. According to theories, the release date will be Monday, November 20, 2023. Additionally, this aligns with the release period given in the trailer, Fall 2023.

However, some users thought the November 20 release date is not what the number refers to. Game developers rarely publish a title on a Monday. Instead, they prefer releasing close to holidays and weekends to maximize the number of people picking up their titles at launch.

Will the much-awaited PS exclusive release in late November?

Fans should not count out the theory of a Monday release. As Sony fans may already know, God of War: Ragnarok, one of the biggest of Sony’s titles, was released on a Monday. Despite a Monday release, the title sold over 5.1 million units just in the first week of its launch.
