Avid Gamer Reveals Stunning Remake of The Simpsons Video Game on YouTube

A fan recreated the classic The Simpsons: Hit and Run game and it is not a simple recreation. Moreover, it is turning into a multiplayer open-world game. Now, that sounds like an exciting remake.

The Simpsons: Hit and Run came out in 2003, and the Canadian game development company, which made popular games like Prototype and Prototype 2, developed this classic action-adventure game. Meanwhile, the American company Vivendi Universal Games published the game.

This video game is based on the popular American animated sitcom, The Simpsons. The game took a lot of inspiration from Rockstar Game’s Grand Theft Auto III. The fans appreciated the 2003 action-adventure for the gameplay and graphics.

What is the remake of The Simpsons: Hit and Run like?

A YouTuber and game designer Reuben Ward tried making a remastered version of the 2003 Simpsons game. As soon as he uploaded the video online, it became a huge hit, gathering around 6.6 million views. So, Reubs decided to remake the game but also include new features.

The YouTuber plans to make the game an open world as the original was not because of the technology limitation. In 2003, it was hard for the original developers to use a vast map. So, they turned it into three parts which were accessible as the story continues. However, an open-world version would allow the players to explore the whole map in one go.

The next upgrade Reubs plans to introduce in the remake game is better vehicles. The older game didn’t have such good cars, so it would be nice to see some modern vehicles. Then the game developer introduced a feature that even the original game didn’t have, which is multiplayer, allowing players to play with friends. It would be mind-blowing to play with other real-life players.

Then he is upgrading the game’s visuals using Unreal Engine 5 and AI technology. Already the amount of work he showcased in the recent video looks mind-blowing. The new textures and smooth animation does make the game enjoyable. Playing the remastered version of The Simpsons: Hit and Run game would be fascinating. Also, Rubens is working on better dialogues and original missions for the remake game.
