What is Atomic Heart about?
Atomic Heart is an action role-playing, first-person shooter game developed by Mundfish and is their debut game. Further, it would be released by Focus Entertainment, who also released titles like Sherlock Holmes, Trackmania, and Runaway. This upcoming game takes place in an alternate 1955, which is way more advanced than the present real world.
In the 1930s, Soviet Union scientist Dmitry Sechenov discovered a liquified programmable substance called the Polymer. This discovery helped in the development of advanced robots which were controlled by a networked artificial intelligence called the “Kollektiv”. Everything was going fine with these advanced robots, who were doing all the labor work to make human life easier. But after two decades, Sechenov developed “thoughts” to implant in the human body, enabling them to control the robots with just thoughts, as part of his Kollektiv 2.0.

However, things went south on the launch and robots began attacking humans. The game then moves on to the protagonist Major Sergei Nechaev, nicknamed P-3. He is one of the best agents with special powers, from a failed experiment which also resulted in his deteriorating mental. But despite the situation, he’s tasked with the threat of these advanced robots.
What is the gameplay like?
What makes a game special besides a fascinating story is excellent gameplay. This much-awaited Atomic Heart is going to feature some of the best gameplay. This upcoming title is an FPS at heart with some great action RPG elements. The game features shooting and slashing combat style, but it doesn’t make it similar to any usual hack-and-slash game.
Instead, players need to be smart with their moves while facing the enemy. Going all-out is not a wise option while playing Atomic Heart. The enemy robots would be connected to each other thanks to the shared AI, enabling them to even fix each other. But players can solve the problem by hacking the controlling terminal. But another problem that players will face is the biomechanical enemies, who have no links to the AI.
The player can always upgrade their weaponry and can scavenge parts easily to work on those upgrades. In addition to the usual weaponry, P-3 also possesses a Polymer Glove, giving him abilities like telekinesis, freezing, and electricity. The glove would make the game quite similar to the left-hand’s abilities from Bio Shock.
Where to get Atomic Heart?
The game would be available at all console and PC game stores, as it is accessible to multiple platforms. However, the copies for consoles would price at $60, but the PC version would have a $10 deducted price. Those with the Xbox Game Pass won’t have to buy this new game, as it will be included in the subscription. Further, the price will change depending on the edition of the game.
