The community is very well aware of the love that Amouranth has for her pets. She currently has two horses (Spirit and Kyran) and two dogs (Nox and Bear). However, her inspiration to build an animal sanctuary takes us back to an emotional incident that occurred with her pet dog, Vigo.

Amouranth declared her intention behind building an animal sanctuary in a VICE documentary

In 2021, VICE made a documentary on Amouranth where they asked her questions about her life, her streaming career, and her goal. As the documentary progressed, she stated the motivation behind her goal of building an animal sanctuary. She described, “My inspiration for my animal sanctuary is a little more bittersweet. Didn’t have many social experiences, growing up. I kind of just made friends with animals and stuck to my own little room. I was just playing with my neighbor’s dogs. I was really happy when I got my first one.”

Furthermore, she emotionally stated, “I had a rescue dog named Vigo, who was a husky-German shepherd mix. And during one of my streams, he actually started seizing up. And he had bloat, so his stomach was expanding and turning on itself, and it was shutting off all of his organs. So it’s very emotional.”

She continued to admit that he lives in the form of her inspiration to do streaming and takes her to cross the threshold of investing one more hour in streaming. Absorbing the thought that he had a good five years, she pressed that some dogs aren’t lucky to have even that much time. And this becomes her fuel for being dedicated to her work.

She said, “Right now, my time is worth so much, where another hour of stream could mean, in the future, the amount of money I make from that hour could save 50 dogs. I want to make a difference. So it doesn’t feel bad to have that pressure. What feels bad is when people try to take that away from you with de-platforming, and it’s not your fault.”

Therefore, this was the motivation that drives Amouranth to keep on streaming so she could make a better vicinity for the animals. Undoubtedly, the fans would be warmed to see her fulfill this wish of hers.
