In 2019, ASMR Queen Amouranth was streaming on her Twitch while wearing a short. An incident forced her to stand up, and she mistakenly flashed to her audience. This in fact got her temporarily banned from Twitch, as it was against the rules of the streaming platform.
However, after this, Amouranth gained an immense number of followers on Twitch, finally giving her a million followers on the platform. Whereas, she also got to become the fastest growing streamer on the platform.
One more thing that she got lucky with was a deal for a $4,000,000 Gas Station, where she paid $1,000,000 upfront for it. However, she managed to get it for free because of her knowledge of the U.S. Tax Code.
According to Amouranth herself, she received $110,000 after she successfully implemented her tax knowledge. She explained it in a tweet by saying, “It cost me $4million dollars, or -$110,000 depending on how you look at it. Yea that’s a negative sign. I was paid $110,000 and got a gas station free. And I or you can do it again and again and again.”
Ok ok here’s why I bought a gas station. A circle K no less.

The ban that changed everything for the streamer
In another tweet, she wrote, “Now since we bought this gas station & in accordance with applicable laws (&/once structured correctly). I will take an accelerated depreciation charge of approximately $3m $3,000,000 * .37 (my marginal tax rate) = $1,110,000. So for 2021 I will owe $1,110,000 LESS in income tax.”

While in another one she wrote, “Remember I invested $1,000,000 to buy this gas station. Now I owe $1,110,000 LESS in taxes for the calendar year. So we get back or “save” $110,000 And we acquire a gas station generating $85,000/year in rental/lease income. (That we don’t have to manage)”.

One thing that many people didn’t notice was the fact that the Twitch ban worked as a warning bell for Amouranth when she realized that the streaming career was quite risky at times and might give her a lot of trouble in her later years. Thus, buying a gas station and having ample knowledge in the financial department has been a game-changing idea for the ASMR queen.
