In recent reports by Sony, it seems that God of War 2018 has achieved a new record in sales for itself. And now with God of War Ragnarok, this news has brightened up not just Sony, but fans of the series as well.
Sony announces its sales, with GoW reaching another milestone
According to a recent annual report by Sony, the sales of various PlayStation exclusives have seen a drastic movement on an upward graph, including games like Spiderman, Destiny 2, etc. Notably, Sony has sold over 23 million copies of the critically claimed God of War.
It was also great news for the fans of the franchise as it shows how well the game was received by the community. With the second installment of the game already on the verge of release, it is also a great selling point for Sony to showcase its grip on the market.
According to the report, Sony wrote, “The previous God of War game released in 2018 was one of the biggest titles ever released exclusively for PlayStation, selling 23 million units cumulative to date. We expect similar performance from this new title as well.”
Why is God of War Ragnarok so hyped?
Apart from the fact that the 2005 release of God Of War was a game changer in the genre of hack-and-slash type games, it is also a fact that the storytelling aspect of the franchise is impeccable. This can even be seen in the recent GOW 2018, where the first few minutes of the game are enough to hook you into playing the game further.
