Gaming giant Nintendo has a big plan for its popular Switch gaming console. It is likely that soon the fans will experience the legendary MI6 British secret agent, 007, on their Nintendo Switch. And this news is coming from a prominent industry personality.

An HD remastered version of the iconic 1997 release GoldenEye 007 will be making its entry to Nintendo Switch. And the person who made these claims is none other than Jeff Grubb from Venture Beat.

According to Jeff, Microsoft is likely to make this announcement, not Nintendo. And this is exactly where it gets a little astonishing for everyone.

The reboot comes as a surprise to the community because the Japanese gaming giant Nintendo was the one who published and launched this game for the 1996 release console Nintendo 64.

Jeff also stated that the remastered title might release in the coming few weeks. In fact, according to rumors, the GoldenEye 007 remastered could either get a stand-alone release for Switch or release on Switch Online. Let’s get to know more about it.

On February 15th, a Nintendo insider popularly known as “Zach” uploaded a video on YouTube. According to Zach, the devs also launched an underrated sequel of this title for the 2006 release console Nintendo.

Microsoft picked up on a really iconic game through Nintendo

For the fans who are not familiar with the fact, game developer Rare was the maker of the GoldenEye oo7 title. Later on, Microsoft purchased this British game developer and began working on the remastered version for the 2005 release Xbox 360 gaming console. The remastered version was canceled due to reasons unknown.

The game was banned in Germany because it was rated ‘Media Harmful to Young Persons’ in European countries. Last year, however, the ban was lifted. And this further adds up to various news and speculations regarding the remastered version, getting a Switch release.
