Despite the underwhelming response received by Call of Duty Modern Warfare II, Activision hasn’t slowed down its efforts of promoting its next major premium offering. As a result, the hype for 2023’s installment has escalated unprecedentedly on social media.

While there’s still time for Modern Warfare III to arrive, eager fans will soon receive a massive opportunity to get their hands on the upcoming game. It will be possible through an Open Beta. The latter will take place next month. The Beta is expected to contain exciting content for the players, including the first look at the modernized maps from a 2009 blockbuster!

So far, Activision hasn’t really spilled the beans on what players will get from the Beta. The only detail available right now is that it will kick off on October 6 and will last till October 16. PlayStation owners will be the first to access it, followed by other platform users.

Given the fact that the makers are marketing the content for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III consistently on social media, it seems like there will be a lot to witness for the fans. Rumors have claimed that the Beta will feature Zombies mode to tease what’s coming with the unique open-world experience. Also, devs may reveal some of the remastered maps as well from the awaited game.

Sledgehammer has worked extensively on rebuilding the most iconic maps from 2009’s Modern Warfare 2. Recently, the studio even unleashed a proper look at them through a clip. A total of 16 maps will make their way during MWIII’s global launch. Furthermore, an official blog on the remastered maps has indirectly confirmed that some of them will be available during the Open Beta. It’s yet to be seen, however, which of the remastered maps will appear next month.

What to expect from Modern Warfare III?

Alongside remastered maps for Multiplayer, the game will also receive its own, brand new maps. Season 1 and Season 2 are rumored to get 3 new core MP maps each. It will be amazing for fans given the fact that MWII has hardly received three core MP maps in a single season.

Moreover, the movement mechanics of MWIII are expected to be smoother and faster than its current predecessor. Oh, and there will be the Carry Forward feature too. It will allow players to keep all of their purchased cosmetics and bundles, from MWII, for use in the upcoming title.
