Last week, Epic Games urged Apple to reinstate its developer account on iOS. The former also had agreed to play by the same rules as everyone else, but it seems like Apple is still not ready to let go of things.

The court rulings are out and Apple has had the upper hand in most cases; the Cupertino giant is in no mood to bring Fortnite back for the time being.

Tim Sweeney recently tweeted out that Apple is in no mood to bring Fortnite back on iOS and has even “blacklisted” the game from the Apple ecosystem.

Epic Games vs Apple: Apple refuses to bring Fortnite back onto iOS devices

Throwing more light on this matter, Tim Sweeney, the CEO of Epic Games, tweeted out that Epic’s request to reinstate their developer account was denied by Apple.

In a letter to Epic Games, a lawyer for Apple said that the company, “has exercised its discretion not to reinstate Epic’s developer program account at this time.” Moreover, the letter read, “Furthermore, Apple will not consider any requests for reinstatement until the district court’s judgment becomes final and non-appealable.”

The message from Apple is very clear here. The iPhone manufacturer will wait for all the judgments to come and the proceedings to get over. This can take a long time, and whether Fortnite will still be around after 4 or 5 years is another matter of concern.

Epic Games has agreed to abide by all the rules laid down by Apple, but the latter still is unhappy. Fortnite is a wildly popular game and racks up one of the highest player counts when compared to other live service games.
