In the buildup to Apex Legends Season 8, Respawn Entertainment has released several trailers recently, detailing the new content. Released on January 29, the character trailer for the new Legend, Walter “Fuse” Fitzroy, is the latest one. After weeks of anticipation and speculation, the latest video has finally revealed the Legend’s in-game abilities.

Fans have already seen Fuse’s backstory and his journey to the Apex Games. A mercenary for most of his life, Fuse’s passion for Bonecage fighting made him the champion of Salvo. He received a grand welcome after arriving in Kings Canyon to join the games, but his old friend, Maggie, crashed the party, literally, and obliterated the map’s landscape.

Fuse’s abilities in Apex Legends Season 8

With Fuse joining the combat roster, Respawn and EA have also updated the precise details of his kit on their official website. Being a true connoisseur of explosives, he can rain down destruction from an exceptional range. His abilities enable him to stack an extra grenade, launch a cluster bomb, and surround his enemies in a ring of fire.

Passive Ability: Grenadier

Fuse’s natural affinity for explosives not only lets him carry an extra grenade per inventory slot, but he can also use them more efficiently than anyone else. With his mechanical arm, he can throw grenades farther, faster, and more accurately than other Legends.

Tactical Ability: Knuckle Cluster

Fuse’s grenade arsenal also features the Knuckle Cluster. It is a tactical cluster bomb that continuously splinters out mini-concussion mines on impact. While this is something unique, the specifics of how these airburst explosives will function in-game are currently unknown. As shown in the trailer, Fuse’s tactical mines seem to inflict damage on his opponents.

Ultimate ability: The Motherlode

When it’s time to deliver the boom, Fuse can use his mortar launcher, affectionately known as Wally, to rain fire on his adversaries from the sky. His ultimate launches a mortar, the Motherlode, that explodes and encircles a target area in a wall of flame. If put to proper use, this ability can enforce enemies to become sitting ducks inside the circle of fire, or leave the area and receive damage anyway.
