Potential Olympus map update and ship teasers for Apex Legends Season 9
A tweet from reputable Apex Legends leaker, Shrugtal, makes us privy to some interesting ambiance audio clips uncovered in the game files. The first clip has audio for rainfall, blowing winds, thunder, and wildlife chirping in the background. This seems to suggest that a storm is lurking on Olympus’ horizon.
In the second audio clip, the Turbine point of interest on Olympus, the nearby waterfall, and faint music can be heard. Both audio clips from Shrugtal are in the tweet below, alongside his theory of how certain events could unfold on the map leading up to Season 9.
Second piece of audio, Arenas_PartyCrashers_AMB_EXT. You can hear Turbine, the waterfall outside and faint music being lost in the wind.
With Mirage Voyage gone from KC, I wonder if it moves to Olympus, crashes – "Party Crashers" – from the storm and is an arena in S9? pic.twitter.com/Ici5T1pJnf

Twitter user @GarrettLeaks posted intriguing details regarding a teaser appearing on Olympus later this season, indicating an impending map update. In addition, there is an “S08_Olympus_event” listed, which is likely to be a teaser happening on the map. Apparently, the trigger date for this event is April 25, towards the end of Season 8. Possibly, this teaser could see a fleet of ships appear on the Olympus sky, setting down the tone for the next set of map changes. This is quite similar to how Apex Legends fans learned that Kings Canyon was going to get updated this season.

The potential transformation of Olympus
While it might be too early to know exactly what changes Olympus could receive in Season 9, WaterGotHim discusses what the next map update could bring. In a YouTube video, he sheds light on the potential transformation of Olympus, giving rise to a new PoI, eventually.
With the new Caustic Treatment location added to Kings Canyon recently, the Mirage Voyage has disappeared from the map. While no one can pinpoint when or where it will show up again, it seems the party ship will be coming to Olympus at a later date. However, it appears the ship will meet an unexpected fate, as it will crash, according to the datamined findings.

The second audio clip in the tweets above is within the contents of the next map update for Apex Legends. It is an audio file for the ambient environment of a new location ‘Party Crashers’. Various sounds such as fading music from the Mirage Voyage, water dripping, and echoes can be heard in the background.
Using this audio information, WaterGotHim theorized the probable location where Mirage’s party ship could come down on Olympus. The area near Turbine by the waterfall could be the potential crash site. In the video, the YouTuber discusses how these changes would also benefit the map from a gameplay perspective.
